We’ve been hard at work making improvements to the TSTrader® platform in an effort to combat unrealistic fills in the simulated environment. These updates will provide a more accurate experience that better replicates trading in a live environment.
Please Read Thoroughly:
Effective Thursday, March 3 at 5:00 PM CT (Friday, March 4 trade date), the TSTrader platform will place minimums on the take profit and stop loss parameters of bracket orders for NQ and MNQ. The minimum input for “take profit” and “stop loss” will be set to 15 ticks. Bracket order entries on NQ and MNQ with values lower than 15 ticks will receive an error message.
We will also be removing the breakeven function on bracket orders for all permitted products. Attempts to enter a bracket order with the breakeven function will receive an error message.
We understand that these changes may affect how you execute your trading strategy, but you will not lose the ability to manually move your targets or stops—including moving a protective stop to break even at or around your average price of entry. Our goal is to best prepare you for a live trading environment. These changes are geared towards replicating the order type functionality with what our traders experience in the live markets.
